And I got it!, that's the reason for my brief disappearance but that's a topic for another (next) post. And well, today I want to tell you about my experience attending my first concert and with my favorite artist, Lasso. I thought a lot if I should attend this concert because it was a big investment, I was counting on the money that was practically a big part of my savings (and liquidation of my old job). Ticket sales started through Yummy and I was logging into the app almost daily, waiting for the ticket to sell out and say "I wanted to go but it was sold out too soon". Behind me was my sister in law who also wanted to go and was encouraging me to go "You only live once Angelica, he is our favorite singer!!!", her words touched my heart, but I felt it was going to be irresponsible of me to spend that money on a concert. A week later, at night I was talking to my mom and out of nowhere came the topic "Are you going?", she asked me, at that point I was resigned to not going, I explained that although I had the money for the ticket I was going to be left without much budget for an emergency or any other eventuality that might arise. That financial education course did its effect and I was very aware of the consequences of running out of a "cushion" or "insurance" for emergencies, besides I live in Venezuela, emergencies are present more often than we would like. I thought my mom would say something like "That's how it is Angelica" or "Finally you are not being impulsive, very good", on the contrary, I was surprised when she said "You should go", and the rest of words amazed me more, because she explained me that it was an opportunity I should take advantage of, since he was my favorite singer since I was a teenager and I had always followed him and it never hurt to live the experience of seeing him sing live "You will get so excited that I am sure you might even faint... And if you don't go, you will always regret it". That last one got me thinking, because my life motto is "A life without regrets", but I also started to think that I might regret spending that money... It was a lot of thoughts that came to my mind and I just saw a story on Lasso Instagram profile that said "last tickets in Barquisimeto". I started to get anxious and said that day I had to make a decision. For her part, my sister-in-law was the opposite of me, she didn't think much about it and bought the ticket days before, but kept writing me daily "Lasso is waiting for you...". That afternoon one of my closest friends wrote me "I got paid, let's buy the ticket for Lassito", that message convinced me, I had to go, Lasso was waiting for me. I made the payment with the help of my sister-in-law and I got my digital ticket for the "Algodón Global World Tour 2022", it should be noted that this was still 1 month and a half before the concert in Barquisimeto but the emotion invaded me from that moment. Time went by and a week before the concert I started to listen only to Lasso in my playlist, at work I had started just 2 weeks ago, my colleagues had also mentioned that they were going to the concert and the excitement was in the office day after day. That Friday I woke up at 4:00 A.M. because I couldn't sleep anymore, I left early for work and I couldn't stop looking at the time waiting for 4 o'clock in the afternoon to go home, change and go to the concert place, I even went by motorcycle so I wouldn't lose any time.

I was one of the first to enter because my sister-in-law's friend had been waiting in line since 2:00 p.m. I felt like the luckiest fan, and I started jumping up and down with excitement even outside the establishment, I couldn't stop laughing and talking because of my nerves. I kept saying "I'm so excited", I was so happy, I hadn't felt like that for years, I felt like a little girl. A plus was that my sister-in-law and my friend had the same enthusiasm and energy, we were jumping, taking pictures, smiling and joking.

We tried to place ourselves in the center, as close to the stage as possible, I noticed that he had a railing nearby that I could climb on to get a closer look at him, but I would do that when he came out. More people started to arrive, more people started to pile up, I was trying to defend my position and help my friend who was smaller than me. Two girls fainted before the concert started, it was hot and people were pushing, that hustle and bustle was uncomfortable and not many girls tolerated it, I was not free, I was sweating and my legs were already starting to hurt (the 24 years were showing). "Are you ready to see Lasso?", said the presenter, I looked at my friend with eyes like plates, in a very clumsy way I took out my phone and quickly started recording, we all started to go crazy together, I climbed on the railing and started recording, Lassito sang "No pares de Bailar". He started with the song with which I met him in 2011, the one I saw on TV on HTV, the one that took me back to memories of my adolescence with just the friend I had next to me, I watched her screaming and she was screaming too, we both smiled and raised our hands. Song after song my screams increased, I felt so full of life, it had been a long time since I felt like that, I recorded videos but I tried to be present in the moment, my eyes captured each scene to keep it in my memory forever. In "Diferente" I didn't even record, I sang at the top of my lungs the song that I love so much, jumping on that railing that I thought for a moment I was going to fall from, but raising my hands and feeling that moment that I thought was magical for me. As my mom said, if I was going to faint... But it was because of the heat and not drinking water since noon, in my mind it was the solution to not feel like going to the bathroom, but I did not think about the heat that could suffocate me, the crowd of people and being without liquids until dawn was going to take its toll on me. But the scare did not happen and I enjoyed the night from beginning to end, 3 hours and 15 songs were not enough, but I was satisfied and more than happy.

I thanked in my mind my mom, sister-in-law and friend, thanks to them I lived this experience that I am sure I will never forget. From my heart, I want to end by saying that any experience that is to make you happy, is worth the investment and effort.

Hola amigos de HIVE, estoy contenta de reencontrarme nuevamente con todos ustedes a través de esta bonita plataforma. “No estaba muerta, andaba buscando trabajo…” ¡Y lo conseguí!, ese es motivo de mi breve desaparecimiento pero es tema para otro (próximo) post. Y bueno, hoy quiero contarles sobre mi experiencia asistiendo a mi primer concierto y con mi artista favorito, Lasso. Pensé mucho si debería asistir a este concierto porque era una inversión grande, contaba con el dinero que eran prácticamente gran parte de mis ahorros (Y liquidación de mi antiguo trabajo). Inició la venta de las entradas por Yummy y yo entraba a la aplicación casi que diariamente, esperaba que la entrada se agotara y así decir “Quería ir pero se agotó muy pronto”. Detrás de mi estaba mi cuñada que también quería ir y me estaba alentando a ir “Solo se vive una vez Angélica, es nuestro cantante favorito!!”, sus palabras llegaban a mi corazón, pero sentía que iba a ser una irresponsabilidad de mi parte gastar ese dinero en un concierto. Una semana después, en la noche estaba conversando con mi mamá y de la nada llegó el tema “¿Vas a ir?”, me preguntó, ya a esa altura estaba resignada en no ir, le expliqué que aunque tengo el dinero para la entrada me iba a quedar sin mucho presupuesto para una emergencia o cualquier otra eventualidad que se presentara. Ese curso de educación financiera hizo su efecto y yo tenía muy presente las consecuencias de quedarme sin un “colchón” o “seguro” para emergencias, además que vivo en Venezuela, las emergencias están presentes más seguido de lo que quisiéramos. Pensé que mi mamá diría algo como “Es así Angélica” o “Finalmente no estás siendo impulsiva, muy bien”, al contrario, me sorprendí cuando me dijo “Deberías ir”, y el resto de palabras me asombraron más, porque me explicaba que era una oportunidad que debía aprovechar, ya que era mi cantante favorito desde adolescente y siempre lo había seguido y nunca estaba de más vivir la experiencia de verlo cantar en vivo, “Vas a emocionarte tanto que estoy segura que hasta podrías desmayarte… Y si no vas, te vas arrepentir siempre”. Eso último me puso a pensar, porque mi lema de vida es “Una vida sin arrepentimientos”, pero también comencé a pensar que podría arrepentirme por haber gastado ese dinero… Eran un montón de pensamientos los que venían a mi mente y justo vi una historia en el perfil de Instagram de Lasso que decía “últimas entradas en Barquisimeto”. Comencé a ponerme ansiosa y dije que ese día tenía que tomar una decisión. Por su parte, mi cuñada fue lo contrario a mí, no lo pensó mucho y compró la entrada días antes y seguía escribiéndome a diario “Lasso espera por ti…”. Esa tarde una de mis amigas más cercanas me escribe “Cobré, compremos la entrada para Lassito”, ese mensaje me terminó de convencer, tenía que ir, Lasso esperaba por mi. Realicé el pago con ayuda de mi cuñada y obtuve mi entrada digital para el “Algodón Global World Tour 2022”, cabe destacar que esto fue aún con un mes y medio de anticipación al concierto en Barquisimeto pero la emoción me invadía desde ese momento. El tiempo transcurrió y a una semana para el concierto comencé a escuchar solo Lasso en mi playlist de música, en el trabajo que había iniciado apenas 2 semanas atrás, mis compañeras también habían mencionado que iban al concierto y la emoción estaba en la oficina día tras día. Ese viernes desperté a las 4:00A.M. porque no pude dormir más, salí temprano al trabajo y no paraba de ver la hora esperando que se hicieran las 4 de las tarde para salir a mi casa, cambiarme e ir al lugar del concierto, hasta me fui en moto para no perder en tiempo.

Fui una de las primeras que entró porque el amigo de mi cuñada estaba haciendo fila desde las 2:00P.M. me sentía la fan más afortunada, y comenzaba a dar saltos de la emoción aún fuera del establecimiento, no paraba de reír y hablar por los nervios. Mi amiga llegó minutos antes de que entráramos y pasamos hasta el lugar donde escucharíamos el concierto. @Angiedice (4).png

Yo no paraba de decir “Estoy emocionada”, estaba muy feliz, no me había sentido así desde hace años, me sentía como una niña. Un plus era que mi cuñada y mi amiga tenían el mismo entusiasmo y energía, saltábamos, tomábamos fotografías, sonreíamos y bromeábamos.

Tratamos de situarnos en el centro, lo más cerca de la tarima, yo me percaté que tenía una baranda cerca en la que me podía subir y así verlo más de cerca, pero eso lo haría cuando él saliera. Más personas comenzaron a llegar, más personas se comenzaron a amontonar, yo trataba de defender mi puesto y ayudar a mi amiga que era más pequeña que yo. Dos chicas se desmayaron antes de iniciar el concierto, había calor y las personas empujaban, ese ajetreo era incómodo y no muchas chicas lo toleraban, yo no me libraba, estaba sudando y ya me comenzaba a doler las piernas (los 24 pegan). “¿Están listo para ver a Lasso?”, dijo la presentadora, yo miré a mi amiga con los ojos como platos, de forma muy torpe saqué mi teléfono y rápidamente comencé a grabar, todos comenzamos a enloquecer en conjunto, me subí a la baranda y empecé a grabar, Lassito cantaba “No pares de Bailar”. Inició con la canción con la cual lo conocí en 2011, la que vi en la televisión en HTV, esa que me llevó a recuerdos de mi adolescencia con justo la amiga que tenía a un lado, la miraba gritando y ella también estaba gritando, las dos sonreíamos y levantábamos las manos. Canción tras canción mis gritos aumentaban, me sentía tan llena de vida, tenía muchísimo tiempo que no me sentía así, grababa videos pero intentaba estar presente en el momento, que mis ojos capturaran cada escena para guardarla en mi memoria por siempre. En “Diferente” ni grabé, canté a todo pulmón la canción que tanto me gusta, saltando en esa baranda de la que creí por un momento que me iba a caer, pero levantando mis manos y sintiendo ese momento que creí que era mágico para mí. Como mi mamá dijo, si me iba desmayando… Pero fue por el calor y no tomar agua desde el mediodía, en mi mente era lassolución para que no me dieran ganas de ir al baño, pero no pensé en el calor que me podía sofocar, el montón de personas y estar sin líquidos hasta la madrugada me iba a pasar facturas. Pero el susto no pasó a mayores y me disfruté la noche de principio a fin, 3 horas y 15 canciones no fueron suficientes, pero estaba satisfecha y más que feliz.

Agradecí en mi mente a mi mamá, cuñada y amiga, gracias a ellas viví esta experiencia de la cual estoy segura nunca olvidaré. Desde mi corazón, quiero finalizar diciendo que toda experiencia que sea para hacerte feliz, vale la pena, vale la inversión y el esfuerzo.
