"ma" means what and "na" means now (or sometimes please). I would translate it "what now?" or "what's this now?" or even "Wow, what's this new stuff?"

True. Mine too. Governments today fear the people as they did back then. Many movies portray slavery of the people and an effort to keep them asleep, Matrix is one that is very totalitarian in this regard

That looks like a very interesting read. There are many manuscripts of the Tanakh that also differ in vagueness or added detail. Those differences are noted in the footnotes of the book I am reading. There
