We used all different kinds. Flourescent, LED, HPS ect. Some die that way but not an excessive amount like we expected. More moths ect found in lights honestly.

Should be fine but perhaps if you can place them indoors, it would be less stressful. You'd have to make sure it gets enough water in those temps. Probably out of full sun too if possible.
