Even if the capability is the same, it also defeats the purpose of a tablet, i.e. more portable and convenient vs. the roominess of laptop / full workstation, especially for folks who use heavy visual

Before purchasing my most recent laptop I tried going "without" for a bit and found that an iPad just didn't feel as smooth for video editing and some other work that I was doing at the time.
