There is a game and it is on this page in case you want to play it too and it is used to see how you are doing in visual acuity and memory or something like that, it is about seeing these little squares and memorizing where each number is, because then the numbers are erased and one must click on the squares in the correct order of the numbers they had, if you complete the sequence correctly, you advance in level and the sequence becomes longer and longer.

But if you make a mistake, you have one strike and when you complete three strikes, that's where the test ends and it shows you your score, what it shows you was my second attempt. I can tell you that in the two attempts I made I gave it my all and reached 9 points, I didn't keep trying because I have dignity and because I felt that it is not so much a matter of practice, I simply don't think I am capable of improving because physically or mentally I cannot locate more than 9 numbers at a glance.

I have to locate them and count them and I can't do that with more than nine numbers in a second, maybe you can, try, but I know that I can't, I could repeat the test many times and in one of those attempts I could pass one more level by pure luck, but not because I am able to locate the numbers and on top of that memorize them with such a short amount of time.

This game is called “The Chimpanzee Test” because it is a game that the chimpanzees at the Primate Research Institute in Kyoto play and they are very good, you are probably thinking right now, "What can chimpanzees tell?" and that's not even the most impressive part. Chimpanzees play at a level that humans simply cannot reach.

The numbers disappear much faster than in the test I did and the chimpanzee does not make a mistake, it does not even seem to be using all of its attention, look at the skill with which it repeats the sequence on the screen, I cannot do that that quickly and if that were not enough, in this test the numbers are only shown for an instant, a blink and on top of that there are missing numbers, they are skipped and even so, the chimpanzee plays the sequence in the correct order, ascending of the numbers.

We cannot ignore the fact that in this game they beat us even when we are at a disadvantage, because to play it they first had to learn the numbers and that each of them has their place in a sequence and they also learned what order that sequence follows even if numbers are missing, don't think, that would be complicated for me even if the numbers didn't disappear, I would need a moment to think, does this mean that I am incapable? unfortunately yes in its context.

Everyone, that tells you how many there are, but also at a glance you already realized where the adult males are and how strong they look, they are the real threat.

While you and I would need to take a photo of them to be able to count and analyze them one by one, a chimpanzee, no, it only takes less than a second and it already has all that information, if the number of males and their strength is less than that of your group, you can threaten and attack, hopefully, the other group will know that they are at a disadvantage and will run away, and if they do not flee, at least your group has a better chance of winning the battle, but if the other group is larger or has more strong adult males, It's over, your group has already lost that territory and whoever doesn't flee fast enough will be "called" and will suffer what is probably the worst way to get out of the chat in the entire animal kingdom, I'm not even going to explain why.

This ability alone puts us at a terrible perception and intelligence disadvantage to chimpanzees in chimpanzee territory, and the fact that chimpanzees can learn and communicate with a human-made symbol system that is unlike anything they use or need to survive only tells us how incredibly intelligent they are and how adaptable their intelligence is.

And well, we will never succeed in the world of chimpanzees, but humans are quite intelligent, some of us, although we are so obsessed with ourselves that we have probably been overestimating our intelligence because we usually measure it in human terms by the abilities that serve us, but a pigeon in the center does not have to be able to use a computer.
