@marblely, Thanks for the comment. The method works well for most veggies. I have done pumpkins, squashes, onions, and garlic. I am now doing apples and apple peels. Hopefully they will turn out well.

@delishtreats, Yes, our three parrots do make a great deal of noise, but they can be sweet and silent as well. They definitely have their own cycles of sleep and awake, but we control that to an extent.
