RE: Poisoning by pesticides is a risk for both agricultural workers and their families and the population in general.
That need to meet demand for an ever increasing population results in some bad stuff sometimes ( ya know like pesticides as you were talking about) but it's choices of what tradeoffs are worth it and what

RE: Reflection | OUR PLANET EARTH IS LIFE
Great post. I would also add plant a variety of vegetation including stuff you can consume rather than just trees. If we only have trees then the canopy can become thick and we lose understory, Like grasses

RE: Brain implants could boost memory by 30% says scientists
This sounds cool but also potentially really dangerous for man kind. With continual advancements medically we are increasing human populations at such a rapid rate we are going to run out of resources.

RE: Objects in space are rather far away. The Moon is our closest celestial neighbor at nearly a quarter million miles from Earth, and the nearest star, our Sun, is 93 million miles away.
I cannot even grasp the concept of something traveling at 11 million miles per hour. That's is incredible. That's nearly the speed of light and breaks the sound barrier. It's crazy to think of what a small

Oh I can't agree more. Silly one sentence or single picture posts created solely to get more posts out there drive me crazy to scroll through. I enjoy reading wholesome well thought-out material. I am

RE: Start Creating Beautiful Data Visualizations: Advance from Excel to R [Part 1]
R is so incredibly powerful. I am taking two courses on it currently in my graduate studies. It's definitely tough to learn at first but once you get the hang of it it really is fun. I love that you mention

RE: Watching Skippers During the Eclipse
That little phrase "stop and smell the roses" seems to get buried in the rush of every day life. Or maybe it's not roses for some but rather view a sunset. Either way I think you get my point.

RE: Dear Steemit: Can We Please Talk About The Rampant Practice Of Buying Whale Votes?
Aww man. That really isn't fair at all. I don't like the whole idea of bots on steemit. It just seems like a way to make money rather than engage with people. Thank you for the thorough explaination!

RE: The Ancient Volcanoes of Firepit Knoll and Spendlove Knoll in Zion National Park
Love the photo and geological history of that portion of Zion's. I have yet to visit there. Can't believe 47% of the US is still wilderness. It feels like so much less and I fear it will only continue

Please fill me in. I haven't heard about paying whales to obtain more visibility and higher reputation but the comments suggests that having the randowhale votes means I paid for more visibility? I

He was cute to the eye but man oh man was he stinky. Haha. Bears have a very distinctive odor. Even this little guy only weighing in at 33 lbs was probably stronger than I am.

RE: Lessons from Nature ~ The Vulture
Vultures are amazing. And we really can learn from them. They use what others don't want. If we as people could do that more often there would be so much less waste!

I have a rifle with 6 rounds of ammunition. I choose option 3! I will be able to see enemys from much further away on the streets than in a store which gives me the advantage with my rifle.
