RE: Companies rush to take out blockchain phones
What ridiculous products. They can't even explain why they're making "blockchain phones".

RE: Criminals Take Monero Mining to To The Next Level.
I'm not aware of any *nix based mining malware (could be wrong of course) - can you give an example? The reporting on this issue often bothers me (not your post tho!) because they typically conflate

These posts are just getting better! Excellent information to keep up to date for those of us who can't find enough time in the day. I'm off following links now, tc.

RE: Using VPN for internet safety? These VPN products have serious privacy flaws
Agreed - if you picked 3 at random to test, you'd probably get 3 lousy ones. Most of them are, so maybe this sample isn't terrible after all. Also it's always worth mentioning how free VPNs always suck.

RE: Using VPN for internet safety? These VPN products have serious privacy flaws
What a lame sample they chose to test. They hand picked 3 lousy ones out of all the possible VPNs to test. At least test a bunch before making sweeping generalizations about VPN providers.

RE: Huge Loss in Whale Power: A 6+ Month View: Distribution Is Really Changing!!!! Facts On Paid Bots Too!!!!
Yep. I'm new, fed up with it, and ready to leave. They say the whales aren't going to keep taking all the money, but new users quickly find out otherwise. And yes, I'll leave my little SP sitting unused

As someone new to the platform I can tell you, regardless of your analysis, that the new user experience is exactly what is stated in the opening paragraph. I joined, wrote detailed, informative posts,

RE: A plug and play LN node
Interesting - can't wait to try this. I have not played with LN because it still sounds too difficult. So this is a solution that'll work well for me and others who would not make the effort.

RE: The Problem With VPNs
Nice post! A few comments I'd add: A third alternative is SSH tunneling. Tor commentary probably should mention that other mixnets are out there too, although they behave very differently than Tor.

RE: Monero, the better new old Bitcoin?
How about gold bars, waste of time? Bitcoin is a store of value. Becoming a means of exchange is the battle you're referring to, and it's being fought now by many but certainly not all of these

RE: Monero, the better new old Bitcoin?
Yeah that's a common criticism of Zcash - people won't deliberately do anything, and most will use the transparent addresses. Not convinced it matters though - there's no clues, even if the anonymity set
