RE: My first week on SteemIt (Funny)
I have social anxiety issues. That video is actually a pretty good representation of how my brain perceives most of my attempts at social interaction to go. I had never seen it before and got a good giggle

RE: Day Hiking at Wilbur Wright Fish and Wildlife Reserve
That old wooden bridge was a cool find. Old, abandoned structures like that always make me wonder what the history behind them is.

Thank you for reading my post and for leaving a good comment that promotes conversation. I'm still a bit in awe that people actually find the stuff I post interesting. This is only my second year of managing

RE: The Problems with Growing Cauliflower
There is a Bt that is specific for moth and butterfly caterpillars which is what I use in the organic garden I manage. The one I use can be used up to the day of harvest. And it is fairly effective if

RE: A couple of garden things...
Not sure what control methods you may be using for the aphids, but I've had really good luck with insecticidal soap. Dawn dish soap and water is actually fairly effective for aphids as well, but not quite

RE: STEEMIT TAX IMPLICATIONS - STEEMPOWER AS A NON-STATUTORY STOCK OPTION
Nice post. I've been wondering about how the taxes are going to work since joining Steemit a couple weeks ago.

RE: My First Vegetable Garden: Surprisingly Alive and Well!
I don't know if you've ever heard of Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, but they have a whole selection of winter squash. They might have some varieties that would perform better in your climate if you find you

RE: Cucumber Beetle Invasion- Any Advice?
I can't help with the cucumber beetles, but on the asparagus beetles, I've had a lot of luck hand picking the beetles and spraying the larvae with insecticidal soap. They were really bad last year. Caught

RE: Garden Pests Issue 2 - Japanese Beetles
Oh nice! Thank you! I work on a private estate, so money generally isn't an issue. I'll have to tell my boss about this and see if he'll order me some.

Please keep us posted on the nitrile gloves. I use nitrile gloves around the garden almost exclusively, using a pair of garden gloves or work gloves over the top if I'm doing something that I know is going

RE: Garden Pests Issue 1 - Cabbage Caterpillars
I've seen recommendations for planting onions with Cole crops to dissuade cabbage caterpillars. Haven't tried it myself so I don't know if it's effective or not.

I've actually been thinking along very similar lines to what you're talking about. Especially with the whole holding off on publishing some of the better posts I'm wanting to do until I get a bigger following.

If I'm not mistaken the Neem interferes with their life cycle rather than killing the adults outright, so it may take some time before you see results with it.

RE: Would you turn down a potential partner because they don't make enough money?
I'm probably far too logical for my own good sometimes. I'm one of those who believes that we completely control who fall in love with. We choose who we allow ourselves to get close to and attached to.
