I am afraid your due diligence is a tad weak. This project has a great vision, but not without their efforts. They already have their Testnet released, the Wallet prototype on Testnet is already there,

I'm sure you would change your mind, if you go through the links and do a good amount of research. You'll be glad you did! The founder and CEO was a co-founder of NEM as well, and has a good track record.
