What a joy it gives us to reconnect with you friends! We sincerely hope that you have had a good start of the month and that what you have set or proposed for this month, is progressively reaching you. And among the many things that bring us well-being as emotional beings, is to achieve what we set as goals. However, the reality is that life and its different situations **are unpredictable, changing and, in many occasions, uncontrollable.** Of course this generates in us the often unpleasant and strong STRESS. To the point of even getting sick because of it. So this month we will focus on, for example, if it is always negative, how to cope with it, practical aids to deal with it and other little things that will clearly indicate this issue. Of course, we will not do it alone. We count on you, as always. *Each one will give it the touch or approach that he/she wants in this regard because, sometimes, the experiences or experiences differ greatly from each other. Some are stronger, others more frequent and others even pathological (that have become a disease).* Of course, as is customary in this community of Emotions and Feelings, we want to be realistic and sincere about this. Recognize that we are human and that we will not always achieve control over our emotions. This way we will know that stress will visit us, will want to stay or that we are unconsciously and unintentionally making it stay. So when we talk about it and evaluate ourselves we want to **do it with kindness and compassion, without judging ourselves or treating ourselves harshly.** Which means that *we absolutely do not expect perfection from ourselves as this will only cause stress to arise.* Now, before we get started with everything that awaits us on this subject, let's start at the beginning. ##### ✨ What is stress? Simply put, ***it is the excess of the present*** It appears when day-to-day activities overtake us or overtake us. And it brings us one piece of information: we are overloading ourselves. In other words, the responsibilities we have are too much for one little body 😅 😅 😂 😂 We need to let go of some things (we will talk about that later). We could compare it as when we exceed the battery charge limit of our phone. At first, and especially if the equipment is new, it will hold up; apparently nothing happens to it. However, what happens after a while? We notice that it discharges faster and faster and takes longer to charge. Until the time comes when the failures start to become more noticeable and finally the phone is damaged. Likewise, the human body systems in general withstand a certain degree of stress, however, when we overdo it time after time comes the moment when we begin to present significant failures that affect our day to day life.

##### ✨ How does excessive stress manifest itself? Cases vary and it does not affect everyone in the same way. Nevertheless, basically it can be noticed in the following ways: - *Sudden and constant changes in mood (frustration, annoyance, sadness)*
- *Insomnia or sleeping more the usual*
- *Anxiety*
- *Heart alteration (e.g., blood pressure)*
- *Frequent headaches, cervical (neck), back, spine, foot and/or stomach pains*
- *Chronic fatigue*
- *Mental (going 1000 per hour) and physical hyperactivity (we feel we can't sit still or do nothing).*
- *Dizziness*
- *Some lack of coordination (between what we say and what we do)*
- *Constant forgetfulness*
- *We do not breathe well*

Undoubtedly it affects many functions of the organism making it physically present and affect us in many ways. In the following days we will continue to develop this theme with your help, as always, to try to identify our emotions, support each other and know that we are not alone in these situations that cause us stress. **This is the theme of the month! Now we want you to express yourselves. Share in written or video form your anecdotes, deep reflections, real or fictitious stories telling us about STRESS. Remember that it will be very important that you follow the simple rules of the community. ¡Qué alegría nos da volver a conectarnos con ustedes amigos! De corazón esperamos que hayan tenido un buen inicio de mes y que lo que se hayan planteado o propuesto para este, vaya progresivamente llegando a ustedes. Y es que, entre las tantas cosas que nos aportan bienestar como seres emocionales, está el alcanzar lo que nos fijamos como metas. No obstante la realidad es que la vida y sus diferentes situaciones **son impredecibles, cambiantes y, en muchas ocasiones, incontrolables.** Por supuesto esto llega a generar en nosotros el muchas veces desagradable y fuerte ESTRÉS. Al punto incluso de enfermarnos por causa de él. Así que este mes nos enfocaremos en, por ejemplo, si es siempre negativo, cómo hacerle frente, ayudas prácticas para lidiar con él y otras cositas que nos indicaran con claridad este tema. Claro está, no lo haremos solo nosotros. Contamos con ustedes para ello, como siempre. *Cada uno le dará el toque o enfoque que desee al respecto pues, a veces, las vivencias o experiencias difieren mucho unas de otras. Algunas más fuertes, otras más frecuentes y otras, incluso, patológicas (que se han vuelto una enfermedad).* Desde luego, como es costumbre en esta su comunidad de Emotions and Feelings, queremos ser realistas y sinceros sobre esto. Reconocer que somos humanos y que no siempre lograremos el control sobre nuestras emociones. De este modo sabremos que el estrés nos visitará, querrá quedarse o que, inconscientemente y sin querer, estamos haciendo que se quede. Entonces al hablar sobre ello y evaluarnos deseamos **hacerlo con bondad y compasión, sin juzgarnos ni tratarnos con dureza.** Lo que quiere decir que *en lo absoluto esperamos perfección de nosotros mismos pues esto solo logrará que se presente estrés.* Ahora bien, antes de arrancar con todo lo que nos espera sobre este tema, empecemos por el principio. ##### ✨ ¿Qué es el estrés? Dicho de forma sencilla **es el exceso de presente.** Aparece cuando las actividades del día a día nos superan o rebasan. Y nos trae una información consigo: nos estamos sobrecargando. Dicho de otra forma, las responsabilidades que tenemos son demasiado para un solo cuerpito 😅 😅 😂 😂 Requerimos soltar algunas cosas (de eso hablaremos más adelante). Lo podríamos comparar como cuando excedemos el límite de carga de la batería de nuestro teléfono. Al principio y, sobre todo si el equipo está nuevo, aguantará; aparentemente no le sucede nada. No obstante, ¿Qué pasa al cabo de un tiempo? Notamos que cada vez se descarga más rápido y tarda más en cargar. Hasta que llega el momento en que las fallas empiezan a ser más notorias y finalmente el teléfono se daña. Igualmente los sistemas en general del cuerpo humano soportan cierto grado de estrés, sin embargo, cuando nos excedemos vez tras vez llega el momento en que empezamos a presentar fallas significativas y que afectan nuestro día a día.

##### ✨¿Cómo se manifiesta el estrés en exceso? Los casos varían y no les afecta a todos del mismo modo. A pesar de ello, básicamente se puede llegar a notar de la siguiente manera: - *Cambios constantes y repentinos en el humor (frustración, molestia, tristeza)*
- *Insomnio o dormir más de lo normal*
- *Ansiedad*
- *Alteración cardíaca (por ejemplo presión arterial)*
- *Dolores frecuentes de cabeza, cervical (nuca, cuello), espalda, columna, pies y/o estómago*
- *Fatiga crónica*
- *Hiperactividad mental (va a 1000 por hora) y física (sentimos que no podemos estar quietos o sin hacer nada)*
- *Mareos*
- *Un poco de falta de coordinación (entre lo que decimos y hacemos)*
- *Olvidos constantes*
- *No respiramos bien*

Sin duda afecta muchas funciones del organismo haciendo que físicamente se presente y nos afecte de muchas maneras. En los siguientes días seguiremos desarrollando este tema con la ayuda de ustedes, como siempre, para tratar de identificar nuestras emociones, apoyarnos mutuamente y saber que no estamos solos en estas situaciones que nos producen estrés. **¡Este es el tema del mes! Ahora queremos que ustedes se expresen. Compartan de forma escrita o en video sus anécdotas, profundas reflexiones, historias reales o ficticias hablándonos sobre el ESTRÉS.
