Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
How are you all? I hope you are fine and enjoying your life. Alhamdulillah, I am also fine. Today I am back with another recipe post. I love cooking and trying different foods for my family. This time, I made Beef Pulao and it turned out very tasty. Everyone in my family liked it very much. Beef Pulao is a popular dish in Pakistan and India. It is full of flavor and is often served at family gatherings and special occasions. It tastes even better when served with fresh raita.
Now let's start with the recipe.
1 kg beef
½ kg chickpeas
1½ kg rice
1½ kg tomatoes
5 onions
2 garlic bulbs
5 green chilies
Spices
Red chili powder
Black pepper
Salt
Mixed masala
Achar Gosht masala
Biryani masala
The first step is to soak the chickpeas overnight. This helps them become soft and cook faster. The next day throw away the soaking water and wash the chickpeas.
Wash the beef very well and let the extra water drain away. After that, cut the onions into small pieces. Chop the tomatoes as well. Peel the garlic and grate it. Cut the green chilies into large pieces.
I used sela rice for this recipe, so I soaked the rice in water for one hour before cooking. This helps the rice cook better and become soft.
Take a pressure cooker and add the beef. Then add onions, garlic, oil, all the spices, and two cups of water. Close the lid and cook for about one hour or until the beef becomes tender.
When the beef is soft, add the fried onions, chopped tomatoes, garlic, green chilies, and biryani masala. Mix everything well and cook for a few minutes. Keep frying until the oil starts coming to the top. This step makes the pulao more delicious.
In another pressure cooker, cook the chickpeas for about thirty minutes. When they are soft add them to the beef gravy and mix well.
Now add the soaked rice. Sprinkle a little garam masala on top. Pour enough hot water to cover the rice. Let it cook on medium heat. When most of the water dries place some whole green chilies on top.
Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat for a few more minutes. This step is called dum. It helps the rice absorb all the flavors and gives a wonderful taste to the pulao.
To make raita, take 1 kg yogurt. Put 4 green chilies, 4 to 5 garlic cloves, fresh coriander, salt, and red chili powder into a blender. Blend everything until smooth.
Add this mixture to the yogurt and mix well. Your spicy and tasty raita is ready.
Now your delicious Beef Pulao and fresh Raita are ready to serve. This meal is perfect for lunch or dinner. The soft beef, flavorful rice, and spicy raita make a wonderful combination. My family enjoyed this dish very much, and I hope you will enjoy it too.
