Introduction

The Actifit platform is a decentralized app running on the Steem Blockchain. It is that platform aimed at keeping you in a good healthy condition as it presents its system. Its system runs in a way that you get rewarded for keeping yourself healthy. Keeping yourself healthy entails quite a lot of activities. The Actifit team made a list of the activities that one could do to achieve this and gain rewards. These activities include basketball playing, boxing, martial arts, running, jogging, walking etc. One surprise the team made in their update was the ability to earn rewards for even shopping. It was surprising to some who didn’t know that this was also a form of exercise. Having included that, now even the family women who go shopping could make use of this wonderful app. They would gain rewards for getting foodstuffs for the family use. I’m sure that is a great idea for users and I’m sure you think so too. You are in good health and get rewards that could be then converted into your local currency. For those reading this post, it would be advisable to follow the series as per episode. This is because you have to know the foundation phase before the top. This episode aim at explaining the Actifit IOS Version introduced three months back. It may seem awkward in bringing back the past but I wish to outline how it came about first. Also, the platform after the introduction hasn’t ceased to keep making their updates. Hence, the post will introduce the various IOS versions until the latest one. The post aims at exhibiting the various changed and growth patterns.

Actifit First IOS Version

At the time when the Actifit platform was born, it came only as the Android app. The app was then welcomed by all on the Steem platform but there were those who had only Apple phones. For a while, all they did was to seat-back and watch Android users enjoy this great app. Hence, there was a cry for their own cake. The developers kept them at ease for a while till they came up with the first IOS Version. The version was hence made to settle their complaints and also give them a feel of the wonderful project.

Technology Stack

In the building of the app, there were some technologies used by the developers. These technologies were being used to make it suitable to run on the IOS platform. In IOS, the latest language implemented was the “Swift”. Hence, the developer ensured that this was the same language used in developing the app. Also, there was the introduction of Realm to the app development. Realm enables the data recorded by the users of the app to be then stored to the local database. Hence, it explains the basis of you using the IOS app and the activity storing. Afterward, with the saved, you can further post to the platform. With this technology stack, the first IOS version came to play.

A. Daily Tracked Activity

As a user of the app, you could see your daily step record. At a moment, you could go through the list and know the activity you do perform best. You could also see those you lack in and know how to balance your activities to suit you. Now, all activities are being aimed at the same thing. So know that you are not forced to pressure yourself on only basketball or running or any other activity. One good advantage this feature presents is the fact that you are being challenged. Now, you should not force yourself but challenge yourself at a certain activity you never did. This would be an advantage also for you as you become more diversified. The developers made a good impression with this feature.

B. Other Features

Now, the first IOS Version was being done exactly like the first OS Version hence it came like a lookalike. For this reason, I would not press on the features of that version. Yet, the app was like a test-run model and to calm down the IOS users who were asking for theirs. Once they released the version, the Actifit team began getting reports from users. This explained the fact that they were expectant of it. As you know, there must be a need for updates as the users began having issues with the app after a while. The team immediately picked up their issues and made modifications. Finally, they came up with the IOS Version 0.3.3.

With the reports and complaints gotten from the IOS Version users, the developers came up with this version. It was, of course, running on the same IOS platform but there were changes made to it. It came with the updates made in the OS Versions 0.2 and 0.3 all combined in one. This was to reduce the idea that the OS users were more advanced than them. Thus, the app came with the following features:

The developers didn’t see it necessary to go back to their own vomit before making the second update for IOS. Hence, with this features, IOS users could carry out an activity of their choice. Now, don’t quote me wrong but there lies a fact. A lot of people claim that anyone making use of the IOS device is wealthy. Also, these are the people with the most tendencies to gain more weights. I have no say to that but all I know is the fact that our beloved IOS users have an opportunity to train and gain. They could carry out any activity of their choice as they gain rewards too. With this feature added to the first version, the app updates were already well started out.

B. Leaderboard Screen

It was another great source of a challenge despite the activity choice. With a click, you could see the list of those topping the steps rank. Hence, users of the IOS Version would be hence encouraged to partake in this to find themselves there. I wouldn’t give a false news claiming that I was among those who struggled to get there for the IOS. But I am proud to say that I did mine in the OS Version. I remembered when it was first introduced on the Android Version and I competed and got there but third in line. It was a wonderful thing to see myself there as it would be for the users of this app on the IOS.

C. Wallet Introduction

This gave the users the ability to view the information and contents of their wallets. With a click, you could see your Steem balance and AFIT tokens too. as it is on the OS Version too, you could also see the transactions you had made. This was also a good feature of the app as one could keep a good record of account info pretty easy.

Conclusion

The Actifit IOS Version came with the new version immediately instead of a step by step update. The 0.3.3 version at the moment is the latest IOS Version. But now, the developers are still looking forward to updates if the need arises. Hence, this would be a good thing for our IOS users as we encourage you to keep using the Actifit app. I would also use the opportunity to encourage the Actifit team to keep on the good rewards.
