I am back active on eBay shopping. There we need to be patient and we can get something good, sometimes a little bit over the spot, but still under the market value. In addition, we always put on top of the price the shipping value. Silver got more value during the past weeks. Now it is more normalized the price of 50 CAD in the big shops. I was buying around 48 or 47 CAD. The reality now if you check for example TD precious metals everything is around 50 CAD. For example, the 2024 Maple leaf costs now 49 CAD. The Australian coins are around 53 CAD. So finding 1oz silver between 50 and 60 CAD isn't a bad deal. In addition, I am giving preferences to Canadian sellers, since it can avoid some customs headaches, which recently I have been facing a bit. I got a good deal last month. I found an auction of a 2020 Congo's Parasaurolophus. The user started the auction near the real value of the coin (40 CAD) which probably made many people to ignore it. So I made the only offer some hours before the ending and I got it. It was 40 CAD plus 10 CAD, 50 CAD for a not-very-common coin around. For sure you will be able to find that coin for more than 70 CAD around there. I paid and immediately he refunded and canceled the purchase saying that the coin was in bad condition as an excuse. Right after he announced the coin to purchase for 50 CAD plus 15 CAD shipping. You can see that it is still a lower price compared to other sellers, but the difference is only 5 CAD. Let's move to a good topic. I just bought another silver coin from that $20 for $20 Royal Canadian Mint Collection. It is a 1/4 oz coin that I was waiting for the right price, and with shipping I spent 26 CAD, the initial selling of this coin like the title says was 20 CAD. So I consider buying it for the initial market price. You can find other people selling for 30 CAD plus which is crazy. This time the protagonist is the Bobcat. In the ad the the seller mentioned Lynx wrongly lol. It isn't very bad, many people get confused and both cats are from the same Genus Lynx. Bobcats have shorter legs, both animals have the characteristic of having a shorter tail compared to other cats. Both are animals that can be found in Canada. The Lynx is more difficult to spot. It is a more timid animal and not used to human encounters. While the bobcat is around in many cities and is considered more aggressive. In Moncton, I spotted once a bobcat in my backyard during the winter. Initially, I thought that it was a regular cat from the neighbor just wandering. But after I saw the tail I was sure it was a bobcat. Procurei por bobcat no FreePik e só consegui encontrar fotos de Lynx. Então, por enquanto você pode ver como é um, pode ver as manchas pretas nas orelhas que também não estão presentes nos bobcats e suas pernas longas. Bem, estarei ansioso por uma moeda de Lynx na próxima vez, talvez exista uma por aí! Mas acabei de encomendar um novo Panda para minha coleção, então provavelmente meu próximo post será sobre isso.
