I've been using the #ACTIFIT DAP for about a month now, ever since I joined HIVE and some DAPs, including #DBUZZ and, of course, #PEAKD.
I include movement on a daily basis: Walking, cycling, yard work, hiking, gym. I feel empty if I don't give myself that time. Telling me not to move is akin to "don't breath". It's just not in my DNA.
So joining ACTIFIT just seemed right, and it's been fun. But I didn't realize that my level of activity was anything special, especially for a person that is technically retired, until I started looking at the Actifit Weekly Top 250 Leaderboard.
It's never been important to me to see how I rank against others, mind you. But there I am, #160 on the list. And at that moment, it made me feel good. Not due to any recognition I might receive from others, but the recognition for myself that I am gifting this energy to my life, and all that comes with it.
And thus, I'll keep walking, cycling, yard work, hiking and hitting the gym for my closest friend, my mind, and the mechanism that supports it all, my body. We're getting along fine, and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible.
