Hi guys! Today was a busy day-that is once we got up it was lol! We slept in just a little bit but did have to roast coffee first as we had run out!🙀. Unheard of for a coffee roaster, but hey, I was too tired last night to worry about it. I awoke to the sound of the roasters running so I got up to see what my husband was up to. I found him desperately trying to unscrew the vent barrier we put in the vents to keep the cold air out when we’re not roasting. The roaster was RUNNING!!! That meant as the gas was beginning to heat the beans, he was being hammered with increasingly HOT 🥵 air from the roaster!😳 I’ve done the same thing before and it’s a serious panic attack as you try to unscrew the wing nut so you can get that thing outta there. He must have been sleepy as he started things up. Whew!!
So coffee roasted without having to call 911 for the ambulance or the fire department! After we were into our cups of coffee, I had been awaiting the much anticipated arrival of some sound equipment we were donating to the church. FedEx has this way of sneaking up and making no sounds so I’m not sure how long it was at the front door! It was CHRISTMAS!!!😁 Everything was there so we needed to get the hike out of the way first before going to work on the installation.
Our neighbor joined us. This was the first time she got the whole hike. She was impressed and happy with her accomplishment 😎
Off to church we went. The digital board was waiting for us along with the router we needed and a brand new iPad. So we began. The network always gets me as I have only set up one previously for this type situation but we did it!😎. There were a few tense moments when it didn’t work at first, but we switched on connection and it was good! We were able to preliminarily get the system up and running with 3 iPads connected simultaneously. We are extremely pleased! We will head back tomorrow to do some live sound with it and to tweak some settings. Then, tidy some things up and we should be a ‘go’ for the service on Sunday. I told my husband maybe we need to do this for a living? And he said emphatically-no! Imagine doing this under the gun with folks watching you and the clock because they’re paying you.... oh and by the way, are you done yet?! I suppose he’s right lol!
