Hi everybody!
The day started super early as it was the day Jan and Jim were leaving and Mike had to drive them into town to get their journey started. Consequently, I was at work by 7:15 - hey I was up, Mike was gone and I didn’t want to go back to sleep as that would have been disastrous for sure!
I got a lot done today, but was glad when it was time to go home. Shortly thereafter, we headed out for our evening country roads hike. It seems exceptionally dark, but I suppose that’s because it is getting darker earlier and earlier, and by the time we get around to going, it’s had time for night to overtake. We are still on high alert over the cougar sighting, but we take precautions and have a means to defend (or try to, anyway) ourselves should we have an encounter. I’m not so sure we would win, but neither would the cougar entirely.

We are both drooping because of the hour we got up this morning. As soon as I can get through all I need to I am headed to bed!
