Tribute - 14th Star Brewing Co.
Beer Review
Tribute is an 8.1% alcohol/volume Imperial Double IPA made by 14th Star Brewing Co. in St. Albans, Vermont. 14th Star Brewing Co. is a veteran-owned craft brewer specializing in high-quality beers. Tribute is a malt-based Double IPA, therefore it's not as juicy as the typical New England juice bomb. The Tribute is a delicious, golden IPA with a full-bodied flavor of citrus and pine. This was the first beer I ever had the pleasure to try from 14th Star Brewing Co.

The Can
The can is very green with a large image of a hop nugget. When you pick it up you know right away that this beer was made to pay tribute to the hops.
“Our Tribute Double IPA is a celebration of hops. A complex yet smooth malt base serves as a stage for the hops to perform. Tribute has a beautiful golden color with a flavor and aroma brimming with citrusy hops. Deliciously smooth with a crisp and dry finish.”
The Beer
As I poured the Tribute into a glass I noticed the distinct golden color. It was not as hazy and cloudy as the juicy IPA's I prefer, but the citrus aroma let me know this was not an ordinary lager. The beer was very foamy and a thick, bubbly head was formed after the pour. The citrus and pine flavors are supported greatly by the malt base making this a very flavorful, and full-bodied beer.
