Learning and remembering how to adjust instead of going without. In the past, if I had to omit more than 2 things, I'd buy something else instead. However, now that my options have dwindled, I decided it was time to break my own rules.
I ordered a vegetarian sandwich (hold the dairy) and added my nondairy condiments at home. A bit more of a hassle than what I'm used to, but it's worth it if it means I don't feel ill afterward.
I omitted 3 dairy items and avocado (4 items!) from this sandwich! The non-dairy replacements were surprisingly a close match...Oh, but how I missed cheeeese!
