Chicken Sweet Corn Soup
A nutritious and filling alternative to heavy meals. This soup is a favourite almost in every household across the nation. Soup is such a food which can be taken at any time and it's considered to be healthy and digestible. The ingredients are easily available and cooking takes hardly any time.
Today I am going to present a variant of soup which is delicate and heavy at the same time. The process is the easiest of all available on the internet.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup chopped chicken
- 1 can sweet corn
- 3 cups water
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tsp butter
- 1/2 cup toned milk
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1/4 tsp garam (hot) masala (a mixture of spices) powder
- salt and black pepper powder (to taste)
- 1 tsp cream
- few spring onions for garnishing (optional)
Method:
Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 100% power for 30 secs.
Add chicken pieces, 3 cups of water, salt, garam masala and put microwave at 80% power for 3-4 mins. Allow to stand for 5 mins.
Separate the chicken pieces from the stock.
Add toned milk, sweet corn and cornflour (mixed in 1/2 cup cold water) to the stock. Microwave for 5-6 mins. at 100% power or till the corn is tender.
Add the microwaved chicken pieces, soya sauce. Microwave for 1 min. at 100% power. Garnish with spring onions, lightly beaten cream and serve hot.

N.B.:- Chopped vegetables like carrot, cabbage, mushrooms, beans, etc. can be used instead of chicken to make Vegetable Stock.
