Ingredients: for 4 persons
6 medium sized yellow potatoes for baking
6 - 8 Chicken legs
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
Half glass of white wine of your choice (I use Malvasia)
A piece of butter
Stick of rosemary (optional)
Seasoning
Extra virgin olive oil
Curcuma powder
Cayenne ground pepper
Black ground pepper
Red ground paprika powder
Lemon grass
Salt
Wash, (optionally) peel and cut potatoes to apple shaped slices, put them to the baking pan add olive oil salt and pepper and mix it. When oven reaches about 190 C put potatoes in and bake for around 45 min. Depends on what kind of potatoes you use, times may be different.
Season the chicken legs (you can use the seasoning that you like). Make hot wok or non-stick frying pan or iron cast pan, put a spoon of olive oil, stick of rosemary and chicken legs to a frying pan, get them a nice color all around then reduce the temperature. Half cover the pan and continue cooking for about 30-40 min, depends on the chicken size. 10-15 minutes before chicken is done you can add sliced garlic and onion rings with some butter and splash of white wine. Uncover the pan so that the wine can evaporate.
Serve it with a fresh salad from the garden (Italian dressing) and a glass of a good quality white wine.
Bon appetite
Note: you can also bake chicken in the oven together with potatoes, but that is already another recipe ;)
