Hello friends. Happy Saturday! Thank you for visiting. I’ve missed Hive so much in the few days I was away. Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming, especially those who re-blogged my posts recently. The heat finally died down enough for me to make one of my favorite dinners; Sticky chicken comfort rice! It’s a big favorite in my household, and you can use whatever you have in the fridge or pantry. It’s very versatile and easy to modify to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diets. It's also the perfect pairing to a fresh salad. I usually make it with precooked chicken, but I have substituted Shrimp, Pork, Beef and Tofu.
I also got a few photos of my Goat Skull recently! I love this piece of my collection; it’s not too big for my sitting room, and is usually mounted on the wall. I’ve added a couple of new pieces to my Curio Cabinet this week, and I can’t wait to introduce them soon once I’ve had some time to get them settled in.
Something interesting that I can show right now is this very special edition of “In Search of Spirits--The New Revelation” by Arthur Conan Doyle, which I received in the mail today. This is a US First edition. Though I've read the Canon of Sherlock Holmes, I was unaware until a few weeks ago that Arthur Conan Doyle was involved in spiritualism and necromancy, and even claimed to have witnessed the dead speak through spiritual mediums. I can't wait to dive into this book tonight and read more about his perspectives on the mystic.
I hope everyone enjoyed this recipe and little Saturday update, and I hope everyone has had a fabulous Saturday. I will see you all soon!
