"HOMESTEADING COOKING LESSON #2: HUNGRY SATURDAY!"
Hello there again steemit friends!
Today is Saturday and in response to my friends' request to cook for chicken adobo; I will share to you my recipe and my own version of cooking it! I hope you'll enjoy reading!
Adobo comes from the Spanish word "adobar" which means to marinate with seasonings! It is one of the most famous and most beloved Filipino foods. There are different versions of adobo but today I’ll show you my own version of it.
My adobo recipe includes chicken as the primary ingredient, soy sauce and vinegar, garlic, onions, crushed pepper and dried pepper leaves, calamansi juice, red bell pepper and seasonings (which in my recipe, I used “Maggi Magic Sarap”.) Estimated recipe cost = 100.00 PHP or $2.00 (depending on the amount of chicken)
Again the amount of those spices and seasonings may vary depending on your taste as long as those primary ingredients are present then you’re good to go!
Our Ingredient Involves:
Chicken Meat
Soy Sauce and Vinegar
Garlic and Onions
Crushed Pepper and Dried Pepper Leaves
Calamansi Juice
Red Bell Pepper
Maggi Magic Sarap Seasonings
For the procedure
Wash and marinate the chicken meat with the seasonings. In no particular order, add crushed garlic gloves, sliced onions, “magic sarap seasonings”, crushed pepper, calamansi juice, soy sauce and vinegar.
Mix and then marinate your flavored chicken for 30 minutes.
Add 1 glass of water then simmer for 20-30 minutes or until the meat is tender.
Wait until it boils then add the bell pepper and the pepper leaves.
Voila! Our Chicken Wings Adobo is ready to be served!
LET'S EAT!
Thank you! I hope you learned something new!
