Unmatched in taste, corn is not less than a boon for health. Corn is considered to be nutritionally excellent. Its specialty is that after cooking, its nutritional value increases even more.
Ingredients
- 100 g semi-hard cheese;
- 1-2 branches of cilantro;
- 100 g of corn kernels;
- 2 tablespoons butter;
- 200 g of flour;
- 120 ml of milk;
- salt to taste;
- 180 ml of water;
- 200 g breadcrumbs;
- cooking oil.
Cooking
Grate cheese on a medium grater. Finely chop the cilantro. Boil the corn until tender, about 7-10 minutes, and cool.
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add 75 g flour (2 ½ tablespoons), mix and cook for another 30 seconds. Pour in milk, mix again and simmer until the contents of the pan thicken. Stir constantly.
Remove from heat and pour the mixture into a bowl. Cool a little, add corn, cheese, cilantro and salt. Stir and allow to cool completely.
Make small balls from the finished dough. Combine the remaining flour and water in a bowl and pour the breadcrumbs into another bowl. In turn, dip the balls in water with flour, then bread in breadcrumbs.
Pour the vegetable oil into a deep pan with a layer of about 2 cm. Heat it over medium heat. Fry the cheese balls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
