Tomato Relish - The Way Nan used to make it
It is tomato season here in the land of the Kangaroo so, as I do every year, I grabbed a cheap box of tomatoes and a bottle of ezy sauce and started brewing up a batch of yummy Tomato Relish.
The main ingredient is the tomatoes:
$10 for a box of these little puppies is essential.
Next, get chopping!
Add all the ingredients into a large saucepan:
Stir and leave to simmer for 3 hours or so:
While the relish is brewing, sterilise some jars and bottles. I just use boiling water and have never had an issue but you can use baby bottle steriliser as well, just to make sure...
Fill and seal and Bob's your uncle...... Fresh Tomato Relish ready to store in the cupboard. Refrigerate after opening!
