When we bought our cabin it had one single 50 gal barrel attached to the back of the cabin for rain catchment. Water entered the cabin through a PVC pipe from the side of the cabin and fed by gravity.

This morning I was looking on Craigslist, of all places, for cheap 55-gallon drums to use in addition to the three I already had been using in my rain catchment system. Found them for $15 each (not bad).

This is a simple 165-gallon rainwater system that cost me about $65 to set up.
