After a lot of work the bottom of the sill now resembles a somewhat straight line and has a relatively consistent curve front to back. A bit more cleanup before I weld the back in. #cortina #rustrepair

I was working too much to take pictures as I progressed, so here are the after shots. Rusted piece cut out with spot welds drilled as well. Cardboard template and then the metal piece that needs more fitting

Starting on the outer sill which looked like swiss cheese when lit from behind, I tried to cut out the cut a patch large enough to replace all of the worst metal. This was welded in and the welds ground

After and before, rust repairs on the #fordcortina ( #fordp100 ) for the UK folk, made a template from some cardboard, cut out a piece of sheet metal. Bent it on my homemade #metalbrake and started hammering

Continuing with the #rustrepair on the #fordcortina, the plate with a very straight edge went through the steps of fit, hammer to shape and so on until it matched the curves close enough. The rusted portion
