A couple of posts ago, I wrote about my son's recent school camp and how it was noticeably more difficult for him this year, than last year. As I concluded that post, I wrote the following final paragraph:

We knew that dealing with a life-limiting condition would be difficult, but each new development is a kick in the guts.

Sometimes a change just won’t cut it - a holiday is actually what is needed.

That's the whole point of the wheelchair, to provide freedom when his legs cannot offer this anymore.

After trialling a modified vehicle and electric wheelchair for my son, I won't be friends with either appliance.

I don't want to watch this condition and what it does anymore. It's time to do something about it. Let's end DMD.
