Sam went on a hike with his Cub Scouts troop today. Two whole miles! Afterwards I took him for a little treat. At first he just wanted chocolate ice cream, then I told him the majesty of a hot fudge sundae.

Kiddos helping with the chickens this morning! Farmer Sam and Sophie got the water while I fed and Babo petted. Happy family time this morning.

Happy Monday, y'all! Monday is project day on the homestead, just like every other day. Don't forget to enter your projects in my SBI contest a few posts back! This cold wet weather is awesome. And messy.

My helper buddy Farmer Sam was off school today! This was a surprise to me. When I got home and he ran out to help, I about cried. He helped with the feeding and watering, really our only chore for now.
