In Virtue’s Last Reward, we started the game in the role of Sigma, a young man who is kidnapped and wakes up a week later in an unknown place with 8 people, one of them is Clover, who comes from the previous game, 999. What nobody expected in the end, is that in reality, not a week has passed, but 45 years, and Tenmyouji, that obnoxious old man who is one of the participants of the Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition, is actually Junpei, the protagonist of 999. The plot-twists do not end there, because Sigma is nothing more and nothing less than the person in charge of the game they are playing, and he is no longer a young man, but when he sees his reflection in the water he realizes that he has a lot of years over. All this and more, has a purpose, to avoid a catastrophe.

It is this Sigma that interests us, the one that traveled to the past, since the facilities where the virus was allegedly causing the leak must be infiltrated, however, due to the complexity of the matter, it is not possible to know what is there before entering, and this is where the Zero Time Dilemma kicks in.

But making a summary of everything, we are going to clarify how each character is. Both Junpei and Akane are exactly the same as we found in 999, no future versions, or anything like that. But, Sigma, although he is in his young body, his mind is that of 2074, who traveled from there to prevent the leak of Radical-6. And Phi, she has a young body and mind, yet she traveled with Sigma since 2074, how is this possible? Well, Phi has not lived 45 years like Sigma did, she was completely frozen during all those years, and then sent to the moon, where the Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition would take place, along with Alice and Clover, who were also frozen. Your first test will be a vote. Each team must vote for one of the other two teams, if they do not, they will automatically receive two votes against, any team that has two or more votes will be executed. It is worth clarifying that as players we make the decisions of the three teams, so we can choose who lives and who dies, and based on that, different routes to follow will be unlocked.

Something that I must highlight is that ZTD adopts a cinematographic character, because instead of reading text, you can see the characters moving and interacting with each other while we play, all in the form of a very long cinematic, the animations leave a little wish, as well as the lipsync of the characters, however they seem to me to be minor details that in my personal opinion do not cloud the experience. Los plot-twist no terminan ahí, pues Sigma es nada más y nada menos que el responsable del juego que se encuentran llevando a cabo, y ya no es ningún joven, sino que al ver su reflejo en el agua se da cuenta de que tiene un montón de años encima. Todo esto y más, tiene un propósito, evitar una catástrofe.

Nueve personas están encerradas, entre ellas hay caras nuevas y conocidas, entre las conocidas, están Junpei, Akane, Phi y Sigma, personajes extremadamente importantes y de gran peso en sus respectivos juegos. Pero haciendo un sumario de todo, vamos a aclarar como está cada personaje. Tanto Junpei como Akane son exactamente los mismos que encontramos en 999, ni versiones futuras, ni nada de eso. Pero, Sigma, aunque está en su cuerpo joven, su mente es la de 2074, que viajó desde allá para evitar la fuga de Radical-6. Y Phi, tiene cuerpo y mente joven, aún así, viajó junto a Sigma desde 2074, ¿cómo es esto posible? Pues Phi no ha vivido 45 años como lo hizo Sigma, ella fue congelada completamente durante todos esos años, y luego enviada a la luna, donde el Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition sería llevado a cabo, junto a Alice y Clover, las cuales también fueron congeladas. Una vez allí, vivió los hechos de Virtue’s Last Reward, hasta volver de nuevo al pasado.

Zero arroja una moneda al aire, si eligen cual lado está hacia arriba correctamente, ganan su libertad, si no, tendrán que jugar a lo que Zero tienen planeado para ellos. Como un pequeño dato, en esta elección el 100% de las veces elegiremos correctamente cual cara de la moneda está hacia arriba, esto nos conduce al primer final del juego, porque sí, sacamos un final en menos de 20 minutos de haber empezado, los creadores se ríen en nuestra cara. En el segundo intento, si es posible fallar la elección, y es aquí donde el juego empieza. Los 9 participantes serán divididos en tres equipos, cada uno con su respectivo líder: C-Team: Carlos, Junpei, Akane. (Líder: Carlos) Q-Team: Q, Mira, Eric. (Líder: Q) D-Team: Diana, Phi, Sigma. [Zero Escape Wiki](https://zeroescape.fandom.com/wiki/Decision_Game) Cada equipo será encerrado en una de las tres secciones del bunker en el que se encuentran, las tres son muy similares así que más de un lugar nos parecerá familiar. La dinámica es la siguiente, cada 90 minutos, los brazaletes que tienen puestos les inyectarán un somnífero y una droga que les hará olvidar lo ocurrido en esos últimos 90 minutos, por lo cual el juego está dividido en fragmentos de historia que debemos jugar de forma individual para descubrir qué es lo que ocurre realmente. Su primera prueba será una votación. Cada equipo deberá votar por alguno de los otros dos equipos, si no lo hacen , recibirán automáticamente dos votos en contra, cualquier equipo que tenga dos o más votos, será ejecutado. Vale la pena aclarar que como jugadores nosotros tomamos las decisiones de los tres equipos, por lo que podemos elegir quien vive y quien muere, y en base a eso se desbloquearán diferentes rutas a seguir.

Algo que debo destacar, es que ZTD adopta un carácter cinematográfico, pues en lugar de ir leyendo texto, se puede ver a los personajes moviéndose e interactuando entre sí mientras jugamos, todo en forma de una muy larga cinemática, las animaciones dejan un poco que desear, así como el lipsync de los personajes (la sincronización de los labios con la voz), sin embargo me parecen detalles menores que en mi opinión personal no empañan la experiencia. A partir de este punto hablaré de lo que me pareció el final del juego y otros spoilers varios, así que para aquellos que solo no han jugado a ZTD y prefieran no seguir, gracias por leer hasta aquí, pero si no les importa continuar, bienvenidos sean.

Creo que al inicio esperaba demasiado, un final explosivo, que me volara la cabeza y uniera todos los puntos, al igual que el de VLR, sin embargo, este no deja de ser bueno igualmente. Es un final sutil, de los que después de que los presencias, te dejan dándole vueltas en la cabeza y procesando cosas aún días después. No es algo del verdadero final, pero nunca hubiese imaginado que Phi era la hija de Sigma y Diana, este plot-twist en específico me dejó bastante impactado, pues Phi es probablemente mi personaje favorito, “isn’t that obious???”

Delta llevó a cabo TODO, no solo en ZTD, sino desde los inicios, sus acciones causaron que todo fluyera como debía ser, ¿cuál era el objetivo?, no era matar a 6 billones de personas, era salvar a toda la humanidad. Como bien saben quienes ya lo hayan jugado, Delta se excusa con que hay un fanático religioso que iniciaría una guerra nuclear, y causaría la muerte de toda la humanidad, en cambio, Delta ofrecía un futuro donde al menos 2 billones sobrevivían.
