# English Hello friends, Yesterday was a sunny day although with low temperatures so it was a good day to go to the neighbouring town of Ribadeo in the morning to enjoy a walk near its marina, visit the lighthouse of Isla Pancha and walk along the coast of this municipality that has wonderful places like the port of Rinlo where I enjoyed a great rice with seafood and as a finale although the afternoon was already cloudy a visit to the beach of the Cathedrals. ## Ribadeo Ribadeo is a small town situated in Galicia, separated from Asturias by the mouth of the river Eo, but linked to Asturias by a bridge and by all the Asturians who visit this wonderful town. ![IMG_7385.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/castri-ja/EqUcP3nh1Lb7qjgrcY3ms8nFAGqBVAeEckpqTiQxEQgMs3fGMg1X2SZ9HBk4Hk7zd8N.JPG) Ribadeo is a town of small houses and a few blocks of not very tall buildings that is easy to walk around because it is very flat except for the descent down to the marina. ![IMG_7386.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/castri-ja/Ep5njLTGo5bVsBQeuPH8VyYjeTVF69y8xXLc5N2QktVDaLQyBgcE1bBaktpykLHyMJk.JPG) ![IMG_7389.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/castri-ja/EppLc7xCKLeAv7RBcECjHeehtyBbZczaDUw8GTJCaj8NdbFXnj2djn9sBcdN6zNAMrw.JPG) But the descent to the marina is pleasant, as there are some viewpoints from which to contemplate the marina and in one of these viewpoints we will find a canyon. Cañón rescatado de un antiguo Galeón hundido en la ría hace ya varios siglos. ![IMG_7381.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/castri-ja/EpNoPsHVwDQxLGZ5sZCWNFRxPTZnkEv8bCBCf1Tza3QTPCBT1LQnqiKtPpHzGHrH31X.JPG) Recorrer las calles de Ribadeo es recorrer parte de la historia de Galicia y de España, ya que con facilidad nos encontraremos adosadas a algunas de las casas, los antiguos granero aéreos que había hace ya varias décadas que en esta zona reciben el nombre de cabazos. ![IMG_7388.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/castri-ja/EpA2a9GWnG3ptAbrXXDXKQL2CCDVas6fhC2qCuisnTY4yaouKKdXvKWiHtGbyD3mGjM.JPG) Pero si queréis visitar esta localidad en una época especial os recomiendo visitarla a mediados de julio, ya que se celebra una peculiar fiesta en honor a aquellos emigrantes Gallegos que salieron hacia Latinoamérica a principios del siglo XX huyendo de la miseria y regresaron con riquezas en lo que en la cultura popular de la zona se llama un Indiano. ![IMG_6412.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/castri-ja/245HY4MBB4uUDnqyfxtW3u8wSNb16KY6zC4yuGMsyWSfv7FZVp3ACYbj3kPrCHRTXpMDs.JPG) Estos indianos de la época regresaron y solían vestir con colores blancos y de colores muy suaves y solían portar sombrero blanco.
