I am/was a chef..but i rarely did baking/desserts. Theres an old saying i use to explain to people. "Cooking is art and baking is science." With cooking i can make errors and still have a great dish resulting..but if you over mix or don't add a rising agent to a baking/dessert dish..it usually turns into fubar. But as with most of use in the kitchen..you gotta people double duty sometimes, and itsfun if its not too complicated for me.
