It was noon when my family and I went back to Labuan. We only have a bread toast and a cup of coffee and milo for breakfast. Along the journey, we are really hungry. Felt like we can eat a horse.. LOL.
We saw this restaurant by the road side along Kimanis Bongawan highway called Wan Tom Yam. On previous trips, we noticed a lot of people stopped by and have their meals there. So, we decided to have our lunch at the restaurant. Its a nice place and quite spacious. The menu have a lot of choices but I settled for this...
Looks yummy ya. Its Gear Box Soup (Sup Gear Box in Malay language). And there goes my diet. Guess what....it gets its name because its look like a car’s gear. Quite an awesome name and creative.. LOL.
It is made of cattle bones covered with tendons, some meat and some fats. Boiled with onions and other soup spices. It is cooked for hours until it become tender. It is served with knife and a straw to slurp the rich bone marrow. It tasted awesome.
Even though I ordered the smallest size which cost only MYR30.00, I am struggling to finish it. Thus, my blog title.. steemian woman vs food! Hahaha.
