I met with a friend today and she said she wanted coffee and knowing her she would drag me to the nearest Starbucks and she would order a ridiculously priced and sweetened frap. Sorry to those that love Starbucks.
Before she could say a word I dragged her towards my favorite coffee shop Commune (http://www.commune.ph/)
I ordered my usual cappuccino with a foam art of a dog (although to be honest it looks like a sleeping bear to me) She squealed with joy when she saw this cutie and vow to drop by every time to get one.
Aside from it being very cute I love the flavor and aroma. See Commune sources their coffee beans locally. The owner, Rosario Juan, takes an active part in the Philippine Coffee Board Inc. (PCBI) in order to promote Philippine grown coffee of both Arabica and Robusta beans. They also use single origin beans from Mount Matutum, Mount Kitanglad and Sagada.
If you are ever in Makati please sure to drop by and have a cup.
Thank you of thinking of a daily food photography contest. One of the things that really make me happy is food and to the chagrin of my friends taking photos of food. So here is my contribution for the day.
