Hey Hivers!
Many people including myself, got into a nice exercise routine during quarantine or lock down , and now that things are slowly opening up, and we're slowly returning to our previous jobs and schedules, we may be feeling a tad-bit guilty or disappointed for not continuing our exercise routines.
Well, here's one simple effective exercise you can do for at least 30 seconds every day!
Plank Hold
The plank is a great exercise for strengthening your deep inner core. Although this is a static exercise, it works almost every muscle in the body. When practiced regularly, you will be able to hold your plank position for as long as you like.
The plank hold helps to strengthen the abdominal, the obliques, the lower back, and the glutes. This will improve your posture, and help to boost your self confidence.
How To DO
- On forearms and toes, lift and hold
- Press shoulders away from ears, and relax the chest
- Tuck abs in, and align the body in a straight line
- Do not stick your buttocks in the air, and do not tilt your pelvis in
- Hold this position and breathe normally.
- Start out by doing this for 30 seconds every day, and with continuous practice, you will find it easier to position yourself on your toes, and you'll be able to hold this position for as long as you choose.
