Good morning steemit! I just spend a few days on an island without internet.... good friends, good food, sun and tons of fun. I feel totally reloaded.
Unfortunately, our time is coming to an end. My friends are flying back to Belgium tomorrow. After that, it's back to work. Exciting times and a lot of work coming up as we are opening a bakery (a good friend and baker from Belgium is moving here and we are teaming up) and a small cafe that will serve organic, healthy (mainly vegan) snacks, breakfast, and lunches.
But let's talk iced lemon tea. As you know I am all up for homemade, healthy, sugar-free and unprocessed foods and drinks. So I just made a batch of fresh iced lemon tea to serve my friends today.
Here are a few pics of the island
Refreshing Homemade Iced Lime Tea ☀️ ☀️ ☀️
Ingredients
2-3 tbsp dried Cambodian jasmine green tea
2 tbsp local organic dried lemongrass and ginger
2 tbsp dried goji berries
1 tsp fresh turmeric and ginger
2 limes, quartered
1.5-2 cups boiling water
Cold water + ice cubes to cool
Directions
- Make a small strong pot of tea (or one to two cups). You can find everything we used to steep the tea in the ingredients list above. Allow steeping for 10 minutes.
- In a big jar, add cooled water and ice cubes. Mix with the small pot steeped strong tea and pour into glasses or store in the fridge.
FYI: I don't like icy cold drinks, but you can put extra ice in your glass too!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
