pot briyani
ingredients:
- black pepper -1 tsp
- cloves -1 tsp
- cinnamon stick -1
- chili powder -1 tsp
- turmeric powder -1 tsp
- salt as needed
- bay leaf -1
- garam masala -1 tsp
- yoghurt
- onions
- chicken 300 grams
- basmati rice 3 cups
- oil -3 tsp
- ghee -3 tsp
- mint leaves
- lime or lemon
procedure:
- first wash the rice and keep aside
- wash the chicken and marinate the chicken with yoghurt , chilli powder,turmeric powder,lime and keep it in the freezer for 15 min
- in the pot add some oil and add bay leaves ,cloves,black pepper,cinnamon stick fry it for one minute
- fry the onions till it turns goldens brown
- now add the marinated chicken and cook it for 2 min
- add garam masala powder and mix it properly
- now add 8 cups of water and brings it boil for 3 min
- add the rice to the pot
- now add mint leaves
- cover the top with aluminium foil and cook on high flame for 15 min and low flames for 15 min
- switch off the stove
