Ketchup cooked handmade is not only very tasty, but also useful!
I offer you a recipe for my favorite tomato ketchup with apples!
Ingredients:
Tomatoes - 1300 kg
Apples - 300 g
Onions - 1-2 pcs.
Bell pepper - 1 pc.
Sugar - 200-300 g (to taste)
Salt - 1.5 tablespoon
Burnt pepper - to taste
Garlic - to taste
Spices to taste (allspice, sweet pepper, cloves, black pepper, red pepper, cinnamon)
Apple cider vinegar - 50 ml
Instruction:
Combine tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and garlic.
Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
Grind with a blender.
Rub through a sieve.
Add sugar, salt and spices.
Cook for 30 minutes over low heat.
Add apple cider vinegar and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
Pour into sterile jars and roll up the lids.
Turn over the jars, wrap them in a towel and allow to cool.
Store in a cool, dark place.
