I recently told you how tumeric can increase your serotonin levels, well other foods can too!
Salmon is a no brainer and has many health benefits and because it’s rich in tryptophan it’s also a happy molecule boosting food.
You can boost the flavour too by marinating with miso before cooking it, it’s dead easy:
Mix:
3 tbsp Miso paste
2 tbsp Mirin
1 tbsp Sugar
Add the salmon and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes but of course overnight is best.
Wipe off excess marinade with some paper towel and bake in the oven, skin side down, for about 12-15 minutes. That’s it!
Super serotonin boost:
If you don’t eat the salmon with any carbs, think rice, potato, pasta, it is easier for your body to turn that tryptophan into serotonin.
Enjoy the happy vibes it gives you.
