I'm so excited for another amazing vegan food contest initiated by
π - the VEGAN BURGER CONTEST π
Since I couldn't decide which one is my favourite vegan burger recipe, I will enter the competition with TWO vegan burger recipes!
So here comes my first entry:
GIANT RAW VEGAN BURGERS π
When I bit into this raw vegan burger the first time, it was like a taste explosion in my mouth! This plant based burger is not only healthy with good ingredients but full of amazing flavors too. If you only try one of my recipes, it must be THIS one π
Prep time: 35 min
Portions: 3-5
Ingredients
- Giant Portobello mushrooms as the burger buns.
Patties
- Β½ onion, diced
- 150 g nuts (almonds, walnuts)
- juice of Β½ lemon
- 400 g carrots
- spices like salt and cumin
Toppings
- onion slices
- fresh lettuce
- tomato slices
- and whatever topping you desire π
For this recipe you will also need to make some easy and healthy raw vegan ketchup and mayo:

Instructions
- Prepare the vegan ketchup and vegan mayo.
Patties
- Grate one half of the carrots finely and the other half coarsely.
- In a food processor process the nuts into a fine nut flour.
- Mix the finely grated carrots with the onion and the lemon juice.
- Put all the ingredients in a bowl, add the seasoning and with your hands mix into a βdoughβ and form some nice burger patties.
Burgers
- Take a Portobello half, remove the stem and put some ketchup or mayo.
- Place your raw vegan pattie on top and add some more sauce and toppings like lettuce, tomatoes and onion.
