Over the weekend I took a ski trip to Hunter Mountain with and a couple other friends. After a day of shredding the slopes we decided to stop by Hunter Mountain Brewery for a couple beers and appetizers. The AFC Championship Football game was on TV so it was a perfect pit-stop before hitting the long road home.

Hunter Mountain Brewery showcased an array of local craft beers. The food was unique, yet delicious and the service was friendly. Below is a look at their brews on tap.
Whiteface Black Diamond Stout
I ordered the Whiteface Black Diamond Stout. This was a 6.8% alc/vol stout brewed by Great Adirondack Brewing Company in Lake Placid, NY. “Huge amounts of roast and chocolate malts give this robust & hearty brew it’s opaque color and layered flavors of chocolate, roast coffee and espresso”. I thought it was a good stout. Not the best, but certainly tasty! Overall it was a great post-ski brew to warm up after a long day on the mountain.

Nectar Naan
I ordered the 'Nectar Naan'. This consisted of a soft naan flatbread topped with onion jam, fresh roasted tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, goat cheese, sprouts and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. As you can see by the picture below, this flatbread looked extravagant. Unfortunately I was so hungry after a day of skiing that I ate the first slice before I could snap a picture of the full thing. The onion jam was sweet and the balsamic glaze with goat cheese were delicious. Overall this Nectar Naan was bursting with flavor!
The Hunter Mountain Brewery certainly hit the spot. It was everything we needed after a long day of skiing. Cold beers, good food and a place to relax & watch the football game. If you are ever in the area or happen to be skiing Hunter Mountain, I recommend you stop by Hunter Mountain Brewery for a pint and a bite to eat!
