One of my favorite street foods in our country is this! We call it ihaw-ihaw (or grill). These foods can be found anywhere in the country. For me, the sauce has really a big impact in deciding which is the best one in town. I like it better if it has onions, cucumber and a bit of spicyness. For ihaw-ihaw it’s more on a personal preference. There are various types of ihaw-ihaw and some of these are barbecue, dugo (blood), adidas (chicken feet, isaw (intestine of chicken or pig), hotdog, etc. but my most favorite is the isaw ng baboy (Pig intestine). Some people like to eat any of these with rice because it’s really good to compliment it when eating rice.
Based on my experience, the price in the province is a bit cheaper than in Metro Manila. Also in some tourist destinations, it is a bit expensive but I can say that they don’t taste that different except really for their sauce.
