There's a little nervous with the Steem price currently, no? Perhaps, some of you want to cash in your Steem or SBD. Well, I think you better hold it until the price goes up again. This is what we call investment, we trust on it. Be patience and Steem gonna go high again!
Although the price keeps going down but the mood nobody can ruin it. You need some sweetness to company your day. What about Makcheck? No, I am not talking about my aunt. I know it slightly means "Aunt" (in Acehnese and Malay Makchik) but this isn't about your parents sister, no. 😄😄
This is a classic dessert from Aceh. Makcheck is a combination of Glutinous rice and asoe kaya custard on top.
Ingredients
- Steamed Red Glutinous Rice
Asoe Kaya (Custard)
- 1 cup eggs ( I used 4)
- 1 cup fine sugar
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- salt
Instructions:
- Take a non-sticky-loose bottom mold and flatten the rice into.
- Steam for 10 minutes
- Beat sugar and eggs.
- Add in cinnamon and salt, keep stirring.
- Add in coconut milk, stir well.
- Pour on the steamed rice
- Steam again for about 30 minutes
- Serve
Tips:
This is a sticky rice dessert. Like its name, it is sticky indeed. I do recommend to use non'sticky and loose-bottom mold so you just need to take out from mold without ruining the cake. The custard on top is very soft and light can be easily crack. If you only have non-loose mold, please use banana leaf so you can take out from the mold. Just don't use plastic to base the rice!
