So we were meant to be on tour already... but some things went wrong... So in our wait for the visa's we camped out at my place and had some rehearsals and bonding time.
The first day we decided to make some pizza with my sour dough starter!!!
The recipe is simple:
400 gram of starter
500 gram of water
1000 gram of flour
Mix it all up and let it rest, remembering that with sour dough it takes a lot longer due to it being natural. I give it a minimum of three hours.
What do we do next?
We make the sauce!!!
For the sauce we are keeping it simple.
Blanch 5 tomatoes (Blanch is to quickly cook something in hot water.) Instead of popping them into ice water afterwards, I like to burn my fingers so peel them and have those fingers burn!!!
After that chuck them all back into the pot with some salt and pepper to taste. Add a little bit of water and cook it down. Then pop in a stick blender to get it nice and fine and then add in loads of origanum and i like to add a bit of chilli flakes to.
Thats it for the sauce.
Inspect the tools and get your prep on with cheese and toppings and roll out some dough.
Whilst they go into the oven we played some board games that always turn into drinking games, sometimes we even just buy them in the drinking game format.
Last thing left to do is eat, drink and be jolly!!!!
