Chocolate Fans,

I do love a Galaxy chocolate bar. I especially like the Galaxy Salted Caramel chocolate bars. This cake bar caught my eye and I had to try them. I hoped they were going to be just as nice as the Salted Caramel chocolate bars. Let's find out.

Galaxy Salted Caramel Cake Bars

When I opened the main wrapper I saw the five bars all neatly laying side by side. They did look smaller than expected. I took my first individual bar and unwrapped that. The first thing that came to mind was a Milky Way bar. It was the smell that instantly made me think of that. The bar was a lot thinner than expected. It was about 2 centimetres thick or just under. I liked the look of the chocolate on top and I bit through the cake bar. There was a good layer of caramel in the top and then the cake underneath. The cake was moist and the caramel was ok. I would liked the caramel to be a bit more salty. I'm sure it's the same caramel as what's in the chocolate bars, but for some reason it didn't taste as wow as what's inside the chocolate bars.

These cake bars were ok. Not as sweet and salty as the chocolate bars and they were smaller than expected. I didn't feel like I was eating something from Galaxy. It didn't have that silky smooth taste. Albeit these were nice, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have them again. I'd stick with the chocolate bars instead.
