I love to participate in the 's games, contests, and assignments. One of the current games is Everyday Rituals. I don't usually shoot my meals but cooking is one of those things that I enjoy doing just about every day. Preparing a delicious and nutritious organic dinner for my wife and my son
makes me happy. I went big tonight so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to enter the photo assignment (the first photo is the entry).
Tonight's meal was rib steak marinated in balsamic vinegar and rib eye seasoning, with gorgonzola cheese on top. Onions and mushrooms with the same marinade, potato with sour cream, asparagus, and tomato. All cooked on the BBQ, except the tomatoes. Yes, it was as tasty as it looks!!!
Both of these images were shot with a Canon 5Dsr and a 24-105mm lens, handheld. The top photo was at ISO 6400, shutter speed of 1/100 second, and an aperture of f4. The bottom photos was at ISO 1250, shutter speed of 1/100 second, and an aperture of f4.5. Both shots had a wide aperture because I wanted a shallow depth of field so the foreground and background would have a soft focus.
If you love photography (regardless of your skill level or choice of subject matter), please join me in the fun at !!!
Thank you for looking and reading!
