Ok, so there´s something I gotta say. We came to Hong Kong for the food, and our mission was to, besides eating all the street food we could, visit as many michelin star food joints as possible.
We went to the famous Tim Ho Wan (because clichés are necessary sometimes) and we ordered the baked BBQ pork buns because that was the dish that won it the Michelin Star.
It was good, just like everything else we ordered, but not remarkable. Actually, they were so sweet they burned my throat. I wondered how this Asian dish with American proportions of sugar could win this "prestigious" award. It was dessert sweet, and it isn´t dessert.
I wonder if all this Michelin Star business is just hype.
