Ok, that’s an inspiration of the moment, such as it is every time we make something fast at home and off we go. Smoothies are a practical means of getting all the ingredients you need to have energy throughout the day, without eating too much.
This one was rather spicy, more than the usual, as we decided to add a little chilli pepper..
Ingredients:1 banana peeled and cut in pieces, 2 tangerines peeled, 1 orange peeled, 1 green apple cut into pieces (include the skin and the seeds), 1 small cube of ginger root, 1 small cube of turmeric root, 2 dried figs, 20 seeds of sea-buckthorn, 1 small piece of chilli pepper, ½ teaspoon mastic in tears or in powder, 15 seeds of goji berries, 15 dried cranberries, 5 seeds of bio cocoa, ½ glass of water, 3 ice cubes
My advice is to use seasonal fruits: for instance this is the time for citrus fruits, apples and bananas in my country. If you live in tropical countries, the vegetables’ variety you can chose from is amazing. Try to use fresh fruits and not frozen.
Also, try to add either chilli or fresh pepper as it helps your body absorb the good qualities of the ingredients.
Regarding the preparation, just put everything in the blender and blend for about 1-2 minutes. The outcome makes 2 big glasses.
With this energy smoothie, I can guarantee to you, you will not be hungry for at least 3 hrs!
