Known as probably the national dish of Singapore, 'Chicken Rice' isn't a stranger to Malaysians as well. A favorite of many locals, this is almost a staple in anyone's diet.
As a matter of fact, chicken rice exist in so many other cultures. If you have rice and chicken thats well.... chicken rice I suppose :D

But whenever you talk about chicken rice, it's gotta be this South East Asian inspired one that is rice that's been cooked with the chicken fat served with chopped up roasted chicken.
There is the Hainanese variation to this where instead of roasted chicken, it's steamed chicken instead. Whatever it is, chicken rice sure is delicious..... I had one for lunch today :D
So whenever you're in the region, be sure to pop by a local coffee shop or kopitiam and get yourself some chicken rice.
