There is an extremely infuriatingly annoying (yet amusing) epidemic on Steemit I am forced to highlight to you all, my Steemin' Friends & Family! I have been experiencing this occurrence on many of my posts over the last year, and wonder if it's a-happening to ya'll toooo..?! It goes something like this.....
You create a Post.
After all your hard work thinking of funny, witty, enlightening or encouraging things to write... adding a few well-referenced images to make it look pretty, maybe including a video to deepen the understanding...... and some Steem Logo. Then, after all that. Some randomer comes along and leaves a comment. And it says........
Nice Post.
NICE POST?!
You know the phrase "say something nice, or say nothing at all"?! Well, in this case, please say nothing at all. For a start, "Nice" is something to say about biscuits.
Part of the reason behind my exaggerated frustration with "Nice Posts" is that Im not certain what nice actually means?! We tell everyone to be nice. Be nice to the neighbour. Be nice to granny. Be a good dog, play nicely. Icecream is nice. Your ass is nice. Am I being nice?! It seems to me that nice is an act, we pull the wool over our eyes; which isn't very nice at all!
Nice is a word used when no more creative comment could be thought up!!! Therefore, slap em with a nice signpost. I suggest keeping a wide variety of Nice Posts handy; this is most effective in eliminating this undesirable phenomenon.
This is not an infrequent or irregular occurrence, it has happened soooo frequently that I have gathered a weaponised arsenal folder on my desktop of NICE POSTS to reflect their meaningless comment back at 'em, with some comedy value. These are the Nice Posts I share here with you today. Feel free to save these Nice Posts for your own use when this common comment occurs.
Once in while there is some variety from our comment zombies, but dont worry, I have that eventuality covered too. Good Post.
